The monthly Saturday Hong Kong meeting takes place today, with a 10 race card scheduled on Sha Tin's “C+3” turf course.

On this narrow track, backmarkers typically need luck as they find it difficult to gain a clear run.

The weather in Hong Kong is mostly fine, with only a few showers expected. The track is expected to be in the Good range.

Chad Schofield is the only suspended jockey at this meeting, and the jockey to keep an eye on is Karis Teetan’s who has plenty of good rides throughout the meeting.

The highlight for the day is the Class 1 1400m Panasonic Cup, where four-year-old rising star Lucky Express is a huge chance to win.

Karis will also be on board the ex-Australian galloper Divine Regulus, a debutant who lines up in Race 8 over the 1000m.

Sha Tin Race 3 Tip #4 Vector $0.00

Vector has had good preparation since training in Hong Kong and he keeps improving steadily.

This four-year-old sired by Deep Field has good pedigree, being the half brother to multiple Group 1 winner Cosmic Endeavour.

Karis will be on board and he knows the horse well, having been partnered with him at the trials on three occasions.

During the trials, he demonstrated good gate speed which indicates that he is mature for his age.

On Saturday, he will jump from gate 3 which will allow him to lead.

Expect him to get to the front and prove too hard to chase down for an impressive debut performance.

Sha Tin Race 10 Tip #12 Beauty Angel $0.00

Beauty Angel will race in Class 3 for the first time on Saturday, with the light weight a key factor in his favour given he is not a big horse.

He has scored three consecutive wins to date and on each occasion, he has scored by a comfortable margin.

He likes the 1800m, having performed well over this distance at both Happy Valley and Sha Tin. He a versatile type who has good speed and good stamina.

Joao Moreira will be on board again and gate 5 is favourable, as it will allow him to settle midfield with cover.

As an up and coming four-year-old, expect him to continue his winning streak.
