Melbourne Cup horse racing tips from early market moves 2019

Cup Day Plunges
It was another profitable day for readers of this column on Derby Day, when we found three winners from our eight selections across the Flemington and Rosehill cards.
Punters who snapped up the odds on each tip at the time of publication finished with a nice return of 41% profit on turnover.
On the quick back-up, the pro punters have been active in early betting over the last 48 hours and identified the mispriced horses at both key venues on Cup day.
The Melbourne Cup support card is always challenging and betting leads will be a key indicator now and as we approach start time.
Flemington
Muntaseera
Is having her first race start and must be showing enough behind closed doors to warrant the support.
They did favour the middle of the track for straight racing here on Saturday and the mid draw in gate 7 will suit.
This yard can be lethal when the money goes on and it often pays to follow.
East Indiaman
Can find the lead with ease and should get away with a few cheap sectionals, in a race which appears to lack speed.
He was good at Caulfield when leading throughout, and profiles well third-up (2:1-1-0).
He could start shorter.
Shared Ambition
Import who has won four on end, including his first two Australian starts.
Now up to benchmark 96 grade, this will be his hardest test to date however there's no reason why he can't continue on his winning way.
Trust Waller and Nash to get the job done.
Victory Kingdom
Was only an even effort (8 of 9) over 1100m in Listed grade last start at Caulfield and the step-up to 1400m will suit much better here.
He raced far too close to speed last time out and given more time to balance up in the run, should be the key. Can bounce back.
Randwick
Atherton
Has been readied for this with two solid trials, where he won both.
He was well supported at his only race start last prep, which indicates he has good ability. The stable have clearly been very patient getting him to the races again.
Maps well from gate 1 and will take plenty of running down.
Agent Pippa
Won well last start at Randwick, when she led and kept on kicking.
She is likely to lead again here and with a lack of speed elsewhere, could easily control it.
Any cheap sectionals and she will be near impossible to get past. Yes.
Phoenix River
Just missed first-up at Hawkesbury, when he settled a long way back before closing off well late to finish 2 of 10.
He will benefit from a nice drop in weight here and should take good improvement from the first-up effort.
Can go one better.
