24/11/18 Rosehill Tip and Best Bets

Feature race previews & tips
Steve HartPerth gets its chance to shine this Saturday, as punters turn their attention to the Group One Railway Stakes set to jump at 8pm AEDT.
For those who can't wait for the big one however, we've set our sights on an even eight-race card at Rosehill Gardens.
The track is currently rated a Good 4, with fine weather forecast.
It's the fourth consecutive Saturday meeting at the track and the rail is situated in the true position.
This track set-up was last seen on 3rd November, when runners found the best going two-to-four lanes off the fence.
Race 3 Summer Hospitality @ATC Sprint (BM 88) 1200m
There is plenty of pace engaged in this race, as Hussterical (11) and Sweet Scandal (3) will speed accross to the rails in an attempt to lead.
Irithea (5) and Demerara (9) will push forward and apply pressure to the leaders, with Fragonard (8), Problem Solver (10), and Our Malambo (6) all likely to take up a forward position in the run.
You can expect at least one of those five runners to be stuck three wide the trip.
Slow Burn (7) looks set to get the run of the race, with the Les Bridge trained runner likely to sit outside Sexy Eyes (2) who will also be afforded speed map favours.
Slow Burn competed in Group company at her last preparation and looks well suited back to BM 88 grade here.
The mare by Duporth has had two trials in her lead-up, the first of which was a solid hit-out when she was untested running seventh. This was amongst good company including the likes of of Redzel and Piereta.
Her latest trial was at Canterbury, where she ran fourth. Stablemate Seasons ran third in that run and then came out and blew her opposition away here last Saturday.
In a huge push for her chances, trainer Les Bridge has called on jockey Tim Clark to ride and with a first-up record of 3:2-0-0, there is no doubt this she is raring to go.
Sexy Eyes is the form runner in the race, coming off back-to-back wins. The biggest query for the Chris Waller trained galloper is that her last run was over 1500m and she now drops back to 1200m.
There is plenty of speed engaged which is a positive, however this mare by Written Tycoon goes up 2.5kg for her last start win.
Fragonard impressed two runs ago with a solid second over the Caulfield 1100m, before failing in the Group Three Northwood Plume again at Caulfield.
She'll be well suited by the drop in grade and looks to get a nice run on paper. The Godolphin owned mare has found it hard to win of late but is a strong place chance at $16.
Sweet Scandal has gone up second-favourite with bookies at the $6.50 quote.
This girl from the Chris Waller stable has only had the one trial leading into this, however you'd expect there to be some residual fitness from last preparation coming off a 13-week spell.
She'll have to absorb plenty of early pressure, which is likely to take it's toll the final 100m.
Best Racing Tips
1st Slow Burn
2nd Sexy Eyes
3rd Fragonard
4th Sweet Scandal
Race 4 2019 Membership Handicap (BM 88) 1800m
There is only moderate early speed in this race.
Expect the Waterhouse & Bott trained gelding Goodwood Zodiac (12) to cross to the rails and carve out some even sectionals.
The Cummings stable has stated they'll intend to ride the in-form Sky Boy (2) with cover, which should allow Live and Free (14) and Merovee (1) to push forward and sit behind the leader.
Expect Sky Boy to be joined by Astoria (5), as they sit two pairs off the lead.
Fierce Impact (10) can take a more forward position in the run, however that will be a risk given he's stepping up to the 1800m for the first time this preparation. You'd expect connections to instruct the rider to sit mid-field with cover.
Second favourite Savacool (13) will be near last from the wide barrier and will get no favours with the slow tempo up front.
Live and Free meets second favourite Savacool 3.5kg better for their last start encounter and looks to get the speed map favours this time around.
Expect jockey Rachel King to follow Tim Clark and his mount Goodwood Zodiac from the barriers, allowing King to position just off the leader's heels with the perfect trail into the race.
The Gelding by Savabeel will improve back onto a Good surface and is proven over the track and distance, winning at his only attempt.
Goodwood Zodiac will be left alone in the lead and will dictate terms to his rivals.
Tim Clark can rate an on-pace galloper better than most, and you'd expect this former UK stayer to be fighting out the finish. The $23 fixed odd quote looks overs.
Fierce Impact can make a statement in this race after failing to deliver as $2.80 favourite at his last start.
If Tommy Berry can find a forward position without using him up, he could well break through for his first win this preparation.
Sky Boy steps up in grade at his sixth run this preparation.
The stable has suggested he'll be ridden with cover and if that's the case, it could well affect his chances with the moderate tempo predicted.
His effort last start when leading all the way was impressive, but he'll have to find another length to be winning this.
Best Racing Tips
1st Live and Free
2nd Goodwood Zodiac
3rd Fierce Impact
4th Sky Boy
Race 5 ATC Tipping Competition Handicap (BM 88) 1300m
There is an abundance of speed engaged in this race.
Cradle Mountain (5) and Noble Joey (7) will speed across to the rails in an attempt to lead.
Our Belisa (2) and Passage of Time (8) will push forward and apply the pressure to the leaders, with Bye See (3) and Dyslexic (1) likely to take up a forward position given they have both drawn well.
Other well fancied runners Smartedge (4) and Tip Top (10), will sit beyond mid-field and look to get favours on the speed map.
Smartedge has drawn perfectly in barrier four and gets premiership leading jockey McDonald to ride.
The Gelding by Smart Missile has had one trial in the lead-up, running 8 of 10. That run doesn't read well on paper, however there is no doubt he could have won the trial with a leg in the air.
His first-up record reads well (3:1-1-1) and with speed map favours here, he has to be a genuine winning prospect. The $6 is great value and should be snapped up!
Cradle Mountain has untapped ability but will need to rise to the occasion again. There is more pressure engaged this time around, and the $2.35 quote is too short.
Tip Top has been up for a while and didn't get anywhere near Dyslexic last start. The jockey switch is significant and given he'll get the speed map favours, there is no reason he can't figure in the finish.
Dyslexic goes up 1.5kg off her last start win. The quality of gallopers in this race is stronger than what she met last start, and she'll need to improve again to be in the finish.
Best Racing Tips
1st Smartedge
2nd Cradle Mountain
3rd Tip Top
4th Dyslexic
Race 6 TAB.COM.AU Handicap (BM 78) 1200m
There looks only moderate speed engaged in this race, with Baller (8) to be scratched after opting for a mid-week race.
This leaves Nicobelle (3) and Lisdoonvarna (10) as the only notable leaders.
Drawn perfectly, Onslaught (2) and Virgilio (1) will take a sit behind the leaders, with well-fancied runners Diety (7) and Montrachet (6) likely to sit three pairs back in the run.
Montrachet was impressive first-up and looks to have more upside than her rivals.
The extra 100m and the jockey switch to Corey Brown are a big plus. With the run of the race, there will be no stopping the mare by Fastnet Rock.
Diety looks to get a gun run, drops 2.5kg and gets James Macdonald to ride. There is no reason why she won't be in the finish, but it would be a surprise to see her get the better of the favourite.
Virgilio has an impressive second-up record and is drawn to do no work in the run.
He's a genuine place chance and if you can secure some of the $7 on offer to run a place, you'll get a good run for your money.
Onslaught will get a soft run in transit and the services of gun jockey Kerrin McEvoy.
With a strong record first-up and at the distance, there is no doubt he'll be thereabouts and should be included in all exotics.
Best Racing Tips
1st Montrachet
2nd Diety
3rd Virgilio
4th Onslaught
