The big meeting at Sha Tin has arrived! We have two Group 1 events ahead of us this afternoon, with the Centenary Sprint Cup taking place over 1200m before the Stewards’ Cup is battled out over the mile.

We also have the first-leg of the 4yo Classic Series, the Hong Kong Classic Mile.

All ten turf races on today's card will be held over the fair “A+3” course.

The weather has been fine this week in Hong Kong and is forecast to be sunny on Sunday, with the going expected to be Good.

There Centenary Sprint Cup shapes as an intriguing encounter, with favourite Hot King Prawn set to fight for his maiden Group 1 victory.

The Stewards' Cup features Golden Sixty, who is chasing his twelfth consecutive win.

Meanwhile, the Hong Kong Classic Mile is an open field, with Sky Darci the highest-rated runner with Joao Moreira on board.

Sha Tin Race 1 Tip #1 California Gungho $3.80

California Gungho drops in Class on Sunday and will be more competitive in this clash.

He's had 7 starts this season in Class 3 and although he couldn't breakthrough for a victory, he showed good speed in each clash which suggests that he is going well.

This 6yo is a two-time winner over the Sha Tin 1200m, while he's placed three times in Class 3 over the 1000m which suggests that he handles the straight course well.

He will jump from gate 12 under Christophe Soumillon. If he jumps fast and leads, he can win!

Sha Tin Race 4 Tip #3 Star Performance $14.00

Star Performance will also drop in grade on Sunday, and looks very well placed in this Class 3.

He had 2 starts over this course and distance in this class, where he scored a win and a second.

He's been weak late over a mile in two recent runs, so the drop back to 1400m for this clash is ideal.

This horse likes racing off-pace and Tony Piccone is strong backmarker rider.

He'll chase well and can win at big odds.
