This weekend’s racing action sees us visit Sandown for a rare Saturday meeting, where punters have dived into a number of mis-priced runners.

Randwick also plays host to a good card and in the feature event, a luckless runner last start has been singled out for specific attention in betting.

As always, a further push in betting for the below selections close to start time would add extreme confidence.

Sandown Tips

Artorius

The key booking of a leading jockey adds plenty of interest here, where I suspect Mark Zahra has been riding this two-year-old in his trials and chooses to stick.

He was in the market ($4.20) and sound on debut at Geelong, when he finished 2 of 5.

Expect him to take good improvement from the first start outing and be even more dynamic here.

Altai Ranger

Is from the lethal John Sadler yard, where if the money comes it often pays to follow.

He was very strong through the line in the first-up win at Werribee over 1110m, and the step up to 1300m here looks ideal.

He can carve across from gate 11 to lead again and should prove very hard to run down.

King Magnus

Went very close (0.5 lengths) last start at Caulfield, where he was only just collared late when finishing 2 of 11.

He has the tactical speed to race on pace again and being rock hard fit should be the strongest late.

The Griffiths/De Kock yard are simply flying.

Pariano

In recent runs she has been up against some very high-quality opposition, including Sword of Mercy and Defiant Dancer.

She should appreciate the drop back to Benchmark 78 grade for this and receives the gun run from gate 2.

The booking of Damien Lane is a massive tick.

Arthur Francis

Debuts for the big betting yard of John O’Shea.

The stable have been lethal when they bet in recent times and the booking of Bowman shows they are serious here.

He has won both lead up trials in impressive fashion and expect he could start shorter.

The Face

Is highly talented and did tackle stakes grade at Listed Level in the Gosford Guineas last start.

He ran 2 of 11 in that clash behind the smart Forbidden Love and although he takes on the older horses here, expect him to be right up to it.

Looks primed for this. Yes.

Kiss The Bride

Did enough last start here at Randwick to suggest she is on target for a win at this stage of the prep.

She should appreciate the step up to 2000m, where the record is impressive (2:1-0-1).

Expect them to find an ideal midfield position with cover, before presenting to run home over the top late.

Chat

Was a complete forgive run at Canterbury last start, after being hampered early in the race and forced to race well back.

He appears much better than the recent effort, and given any luck in running here should improve dramatically.

I’m also against the favourite Bandersnatch in this race, and believe we are getting great odds here for Chat.
