We head to Sha Tin for racing on Sunday, with a strong 10 race card ahead.

There will be 3 races on the all-weather track and 7 on the turf “A” course.

Weather will be fine and cool in Hong Kong, with the going expected to be good.

Some interesting horses are set to debut in Hong Kong this Sunday, including the former Australian galloper Conqueror, who goes around in Race 8 over 1650m on the all-weather track.

Conqueror is also set to run in next week’s Hong Kong Classic Mile.

In Hong Kong, it is rare to see a Class 1 1650m all-weather race, but we will see it on Sunday in Race 3. King’s Shield lines up in that event, this horse has a bright future and will probably represent Hong Kong in overseas races in the future.

Sha Tin Race 4 Tip #1 Red Elysees $4.80

Red Elysees goes down to Class 4 on Sunday and is expected to be more competitive. He scored 3 wins in this class previously and looks set to add to that tally today.

This horse handles the all-weather track well and he is consistent over the mile.

He's had five starts this season and although he hasn't won, he's been competitive from wide barriers.

He's drawn barrier 1 here, which will allow him to lead or sit on-speed without doing much work.

Joao Moreira will be on board for the first time and recently he galloped with the horse at morning track work.

The stars look to align for him today and he'll be hard to beat.

Sha Tin Race 9 Tip #5 Wellington $2.20

Wellington has four winners from his five starts and is a very talented galloper.

This 4yo suffered some setbacks last season and took time to recover, luckily, he looks better off an 8-month spell.

Last time out was his season debut, where he won easily by 2.25-lengths, beating course expert Ping Hai Bravo.

He's been showing plenty at home, especially his gallop on January 7th, which was very impressive under Zac Purton.

Zac will ride this horse again today and even though he is rising in grade, I expect him to be winning.
