We head to inland NSW on Monday afternoon, for a strong nine race card at Wellington racecourse.
The track is currently rated a Good 4 and fine weather is forecast throughout the day.
The rail is in the true position for the entire circuit and at this set-up, you can expect on-pace runners to have the best time of it.
Kath Bell-Pitomac strikes at 17.24%, and has ridden 5 winners from 29 starts over the past 12-months.
The hoop has 7 rides at Wellington today, with her best chance coming in Race 8 aboard Ginger's Voice.
Of the others, Adrian Layt only has a small book of rides but he has also produced 4 winners at this track from only 19 starts, striking at a strong 21%!
Layt has 3 runners today, with his best chance coming in Race 4 aboard Class Act, who is currently $19!
Wellington Race 8 Tip #4 Ginger's Voice $3.45
This Poet's Voice mare has impressed at her two runs back this prep and looks set for victory today.
She was restrained from the gates when first-up over 1100m at Dubbo, before racing well within herself down the straight to finish 4.6-lengths off the winner.
Her second-up run in Class 2 company at the same track was full of merit. She was forced to race beyond midfield from the wide gate, but made good ground late, finishing 2.64-lengths fourth.
She has been given a tick over trial between runs, rises to the 1400m and draws ideally. All signs point to her being further forward in the run today.
Her only win came when third-up, so I suspect this has been the target all prep.
Look for Kath Bell-Pitomac to be positive from the gates, before letting this mare down on turning for home.
Put simply, she should put these away today and at the current price, she's well over the odds!
