We head to Happy Valley for Wednesday night racing this week, with nine races set to be run and won.

The January Cup over the 1800m is the feature race of the night and has attracted some interesting runners.

Multiple Group 1 winner, Time Warp, will be looking to breakthrough for his maiden victory in this event at his third attempt following consecutive fourth place finishes.

Meanwhile, the $3 favourite Savvy Nine will chase his first win in Hong Kong with Christophe Soumillon aboard.

French jockey Alexis Badel has 9 rides tonight, and comes here fresh off celebrating a hat-trick of wins at Sha Tin on Sunday.

He looks set to continue his strong form aboard two great chances in V Chevaliers and Kurpany.

The weather will be perfect for racing tonight and punters shouldn't expect much track bias on the fair 'A' course at Happy Valley.

Happy Valley Race 1 #1 Destine Jewellery $2.25

There are only four horses in this race that have tasted victory in Hong Kong, and Destine Jewellery is the only one to have done so over this course and distance.

That was in Class 4 grade and now down in Class 5 for this clash, he comes here off an impressive run at Sha Tin where he showed good turn of foot to run on from midfield and finish second.

He'll jump from gate 1 here and retains the services of Joao Moreira, who will know exactly how to improve him.

He looks a massive chance to get another win against this weaker field.

Happy Valley Race 5 #2 Telecom Puma $6.50

Telecom Puma has only won once in Hong Kong, which came over this course and distance in a Class 3.

He's struggled to return to form since that performance and now finds himself in Class 4 grade.

This New Zealand import tried his very best last start under Blake Shinn and managed to finish 0.5 length second behind Momentum Galaxy.

Christophe Soumillon takes the reigns today and will jump from gate 11, however his early speed should negate the wide barrier.

He's likely to sit one-back one-out during the race and is a big chance tonight at good odds.
