Heavy support for key runners

Last week the professional money identified in this column was spot on in Sydney. No fewer than 3 winners saluted at Rosehill, delivering an overall profit to punters.

This week at Caulfield, the 2yo Blue Diamond previews have been subject to a number of vicious moves in betting and we have again outlined those that appear genuine stable and professional money.

We hope to continue the winning run. Best of luck in both Sydney and Melbourne.

Espaaniyah

Emirates Park have had plenty of luck with their 2yo’s in recent years with the Golden Slipper winner last year, Estijaab and back in 2014  with Mossfun.

This filly is touted as a likely Slipper contender this year and will be winning this with ease if the stable reports are correct.

Won well at Moonee Valley on debut and can go right on with it here. Yes.

She’s Spicy

Is a visitor from Queensland who is two from three this prep and deserves her chance to capture the richer Sydney prize money.

The Dunn stable are lethal and know the right horse to send. They would not have made the effort to travel if she was not ready.

Money looks spot on.

Toryjoy

Was backed off the map at Randwick last start when only just missed after working hard.

With a softer run here it is very hard to see anything beating her, and she should just lead, dictate and win.

Looks one of the best bets nationwide.

Sei Stella

Will lead and be very hard to get past.

Last start she was beaten by a good one yet still received heavy support to win the race. That is an excellent sign against quality opposition.

Even though she is drawn out in gate 9, there is no doubt she has the tactical speed to carve across and dictate.

Expect her to start shorter and be winning with ease.

Ocean Deep

Has been subject to a betting plunge in previous starts hence the ability is certainly there.

However on this occasion it appears the 'weights and measures' brigade have locked onto to the drop from 59kg that she carried to win last start, to the feather weight of 55kg.

She will need luck to come across from the wider draw in gate 10, and will fight out the finish if she gets it.

I Am Immortal

Is a first starter who dominated his only trial to win by 1.75 lengths.

The Freedman stable rarely miss when they put the money on and it would be a huge shock for him not to run well.

A further push in betting close to jump would add extreme confidence.

Watch late market moves and bet accordingly.

Jedastar

Has been a massive plunge in early betting markets after firming from $10 into $4.80. It appears the move has come from some well informed punters as the price cuts have been savage all the way through.

Although these 2yo plunges are always hard to pull off, this looks one of the stronger ones in recent times.

The stable and connections appear ultra confident.

Social Spin

Finally repaid the faith of punters with a dominant win last start, when heavily backed again throughout early betting.

Just needs to overcome the wide draw in gate 8 to be winning, and the money suggests he will have no problem in doing that.

Can see John Allen sitting midfield with cover before peeling out to go bang!

Highly talented gelding who can chalk up back to back wins. Yes.
