Heavy support for key runners
Last week on the Gold Coast we struck early and hard with two winners, before adding to the bankroll at Flemington with Second Bullet scoring at a healthy $4.40.
This week the confidence is high and we have again identified the smart money moves with our simple but effective model, which highlights genuine professional money active in betting markets.
Rosehill Tips from Market Moves
Alassio
J Mac’s management have found this ride for him. They are a well respected and knowledgeable team, which is an excellent lead in itself.
Last start she was hard in the market and only just missed when finishing 2 of 6 at Canterbury over this distance.
There were excuses that day when she appeared to balk at the start yet still mustered to lead. Could have easily make a case she should have won with a clean jump.
Can certainly atone here and the early market support says she will. Yes
Bon Amis
Quality gelding who strung together two wins before his latest effort at Warwick Farm where he weakened to finish 4 of 11 but had excuses after being trapped wide with no cover.
He is another horse who the market expects to bounce back given even luck, and the track/distance record (5:3-2-0) suggests he is sure to be fighting out the finish.
Looks a good thing.
Sweet Scandal
Has been an SP profile star for this entire prep, regularly attracting strong support from pro money.
Whilst only repaying the faithful once with a win this campaign which came at her recent outing, this looks much easier compared to the horses she faced.
Leads, controls it and wins. Yes.
Creedence
Has featured in this column before. That time he was desperately unlucky after hitting the front before shying at a shadow close to home and throwing it all away.
Connections and the stable put a truckload on him that day at Pakenham and they will be desperate to get their money back with a betting coup here.
Smells strongly of a genuine set up with the travel from Melbourne to find a suitable race here in Sydney, and it would not surprise to see him start much shorter.
This plunge looks highly likely to come off.
Flemington Tips from Market Moves
Royal Performance
The win two starts back at Caulfield midweek was enormous when held-up and still charged home when he saw clean air.
Since then, he was slightly disappointing at the same track when up in distance, however he did have excuses after travelling wide.
With a more economical run expect him to charge late and grab them all in the closing stages.
Happy to trust Linda Meech who is severely underrated. She does not get too many opportunities in town and will be highly motivated to get the job done here.
Thorondor
Drops way down in grade from the Group 1 Coolmore Stud Stakes where although he ran last, still demonstrated that he has ability.
This is much easier and from gate 1 with the rail out 9m, it could be the right part of the track to be. Craig Williams will have him tucked in behind the speed and charging late.
The speed map favours look genuine.
Langhro
“Star Fall form”….need we say anymore! This gelding was beaten only 1.25 lengths into third by this potential superstar and the second placegetter (Mystyko) has since come out and brained a field also.
He looks the likely leader with no genuine tempo expected. With that speed map he can dictate to them all deep into the straight, before kicking away off the front end.
This all says "back me". Expect the money to keep flowing right up until the jump. Yes.
