Joel Marshall is a racing journalist who's comments and tips appear across various sources of printed media and the internet. In print his comments appear in the Winning Post and he is a regular tipster in the Best Bets racing magazine. Marshall is also the top journalist for the sports and racing website SportsLine.com.au.
Marshall joined the Best Bets horse racing tipping panel back in January 2013 as one of the Brisbane racing tipsters. As at 19 April 2013 his horse racing tips had achieved a win profit on turnover of 57%, a win strike rate of 28% and a place strike rate of 66%. The average price of his winning tips was $5.70.
Marshall's Saturday racing tips are available on Friday mornings which means he is required to submit them by midday Thursday. This puts him at a significant disadvantage to most punters and tipsters who have the luxury of waiting until race day or in some cases minutes before the race to arrive at their selections. Marshall provides a tip in each race on the Brisbane card without flagging a best bet or special. As a result, all of Marshall's tips are recorded. If specials or best bets are provided, only these tips are recorded.
