Another 3 tipsters have transitioned from mild mannered punters to proven pro tipsters this week after each of these talented form analysts achieved the challenging hurdle rates required to qualify. Their qualification proves well beyond doubt that they are capable of earning significant profits consistently, which is exactly what punters are looking for when they are looking for insights.
Two of the qualified professionals were recognised for their greyhound tips.
Mein achieved pro tipster status on 4 May 2012 with 65 consecutive tips and a profit score of 27% win profit.
Suvaseini was the other greyhound tipster to hit pro status this week. He qualified on 10 May 2012 with 67% profit after tipping 65 consecutive tips in profit. This came after breaking several records at theGreatTipOff.com including the longest run of wins in a row (20 tips) and the highest sale price for a tip package. Although we are unable to disclose the sale price we can say it was very impressive.
The third crowned pro was Chopper007 who entered this elite club on 12 May 2012 with 38% win profit after 65 of his horse racing tips helped him remain in profit for the entire time.
To qualify for the elite club of pro tipster, tipsters need to achieve two main criteria, at the same time. Profitability and consistency. Read more here
As the financial slowly draws to a close we take a look at the 12 month leader board and highlight the standout tipsters showing a profit over this time. We put the spot light on those form analysts who have tipped at least 100 times over the year, that's about 2 tips a week on average.
These tipsters are proving it is possible to sustain a good profit over a long period of time. Out of the 7 tipsters highlighted 5 of them are showing double digit profit over the past 3 months also. The combination of strong short and long term form is a good excuse to put these form analysts on your watch list.
Best wishes for a good Doomben Cup day and remember to bet responsibly punters
There is nothing too unusual about the winner in the first race on the program at Richmond a few weeks ago. The favourite in the race, Versatility, did what it was expected to do - greet the judge first. The strange thing about the race however, was the significant variance it paid across the three totes.
On the NSW tote punters collected $2.30 the win and $1.20 the place. A little bit more value in Victoria where it paid $3.20 the win and $2.30 the place.
Punters who backed the dog with Tattsbet in Queensland, however, were either jumping around like kangaroos in their lounge room or crying on their knees. For the win it paid a disappointing $1.80 but for the place it returned a mamoth $96.60 the place.
Don't scratch you head for too long wondering about this one. It probably goes something like this. Odds on favourite so punters mostly backing the favourite for the win. Light volume for an interstate meeting on the quietest betting night of the week means you could have probably counted the place punters on one hand for the odds on favourite. Which for a totalizator formula means big prices.
A few savy punters probably caught the price just before they jumped and couldn't press the keys on their laptop quick enough to capitalise on this one and a million opportunity.
Here is the lesson to be learned here. Tuesday night, Tattsbet.com, odds on favourite - keep your eyes on the place tote.
Saturday, 12 May was a big weekend for the punters who recorded their tips at theGreatTipOff.com. Collectively punters' tips delivered a very impressive return that was 105% of the invested amount. Media tipsters can hold their head high though after coming in 13 percentage points behind with 92% ROI.
Interestingly the Top 10 had more media tipsters in it then punters, 6 to 4.
Special mentions in the Top 10 include:
- Bart Sinclair - who was the highest profit making tipster for calendar year 2011
- Jay Rooney - runner up to Bart last year as the second highest profit maker in calendar year 2011
- Roysundborg - who continues to deliver profitable tip packages. Saturday's win capped off a 262% profit week
- Deane Lester - who delivered punters 8 winners on the day.
All eyes will be on the media this week to see if they continue the pattern of replying to the Punters win with one of their own. Follow all the updates on the Media v Punters challenge on Twitter by following the #MediaVpunters
We continue to be intrigued by our user polls and emails which show that punters have a strong preference for recent tipster form when looking for some one to follow. Given the strong popularity for recent star performances we put the spotlight on tipsters appearing towards the top of the 1 month win profit leader board for horse racing.
As always with this type of analysis we have singled out those tipsters with a reasonable level of tip volume.
We expect the majority of those highlighted in this list to be tipping tomorrow. Best way to get their tips is check the tip market or free subscribe to their tip alerts by clicking their name on the leader board.
