The Concorde Stakes is a Group 3 race for three year old horses and upwards run over a distance of 1100 metres at Ranwick racecourse. The race is run under set weights with penalty conditions and is held on Chelmsford Stakes day. Other feature races run on this day at Randwick include the Furious Stakes and the Tramway Quality Handicap.
The race was inaugurated back in 1990 when it was a Listed Race. In 1997 it was re-rated as a Group 3 race. In 2013 the race was run at Randwick for the first time.
In 2013 Decision Time won the race with a starting price of $7. The six year old horse settled nicely just behind the leaders during the race and then responded well when they quickened in the straight taking the lead as they turned for home and saw off the only challenger Sessions, the $2.20 favourite, by a head. Sessions was probably a good thing beaten after receiving some interference in the straight. Delago Bolt came in third at odds of $26.
