Happy Valley hosts 8-races tonight, which will all be run on the 'C' Course.

This is a narrow track that typically favours front runners. However given we are early in the season, backmarkers will be able to make ground.

A few showers are forecast but it shouldn't impact racing conditions, so expect the track to remain a Good rating.

In past seasons, Caspar Fownes has produced great results at Happy Valley.

He is currently the leading trainer with 4 winners to open the season, and sends 9 horses around today.

Most of them are having good preparation, including Green Aeon who lines up in the final race. Expect Caspar to keep the good form rolling!

Happy Valley Race 6 Tip #1 Victory In Hand $8.00

Victory In Hand returns to a Class 4 here, which is a grade he's notched up 2 wins previously.

The blinkers go on for the first time which will make him more focused.

He had the blinkers on in his latest trial on 26 August, where he showed good early speed and managed to maintain it through to the finish.

This five-year-old gelding has gained 34 pounds since rounding out his last campaign, which suggests he is now at a good fitness level coming off the summer break.

Barrier 11 is not a problem given his early toe and if he jumps well under Karis Teetan, there is a huge chance he'll be winning.

Happy Valley Race 7 Tip #3 Sell My Sole $1.75

The now four-year-old galloper has comeback more mature than last season and looks set to breakthrough for a win here.

He stayed in Hong Kong for training over the summer break, which is usually a good sign for John Size’s horses.

This Jimmy Choux gelding performs better at Happy Valley than Sha Tin, which is common for this progeny.

In his last two starts, he has only been beaten by a short margin over the Happy Valley 1200m so he doesn't have to make much improvement to be winning this race.

He has a good gate with Joao Moreira on board and looks likely to break his maiden status in style.
