Horse Racing Tips from early market movers 25 August 2018

Select group of well supported runners

This week appears relatively quiet on the market mover front. However, as always, we have still identified a select group of runners at both Rosehill and Mooney Valley which look to be the ones professional punters are on in early betting.

Last week this column found 3 winners across both states, where the vicious early betting moves proved spot on. The highlight was Miss Siska winning the first at Caulfield and lining punters pockets early at an attractive $5.

Rosehill Tips

Rosehill Tips

Za Zi Ba

Will be cherry ripe for this race following a solid hit out first-up last start at Canterbury, when she was held up at a vital stage in running.

Punters have identified this misfortune and are happy to forgive, believing she had plenty to offer with clear running.

The quality in this race looks stronger however the money suggests she is more than capable of overcoming. Still appears great value at $7.50

Signore Fox

It has been widely reported, the Snowden stable have a huge opinion of this colt and he finally delivered on the hype last start when winning impressively at Hawkesbury.

Love the confidence shown coming straight to town for this and the booking of senior rider Kerrin McEvoy.

Expect him to shorten even further in betting as we approach the jump. Money looks spot on.

Miss Que

Could easily make a case she should have won at her previous outing here. She was forced to race wide with no cover early, before storming home late when finding clear air to just miss.

From gate two this week Corey Brown should have her positioned perfectly throughout the run, and if she gets a nice trip, will be running over the top of them all.

Paret

Carries a huge boom following back to back wins, and there is no reason he can’t chalk up 3 in a row here.

Last start was firm in betting late before coming from back in the field to run down the leaders, and then kept powering away.

Looks to be very smart and possesses stakes level talent for the future.

One of the best bets nationwide on Saturday. Yes.

Mooney Valley Tips

Moonee Valley Tips

Strike Force

Maps beautifully to find the position close to speed tucked in behind the pace, on a day where the leading divisions look to hold a significant advantage at Moonee Valley.

Has been up a while now and puts in every time, insuring he will be rock hard fit for this. Simply peels out on the point of the home turn and gobbles them up to race away with it.

Pacodali

From the shrewd DK Weir yard. They must have put the word out to connections this gelding is flying since his previous win here three weeks ago. He was soft in betting late on that day however still got the job done.

No doubt he has thrived at home since, and the money suggests he will be very hard to beat. Suspect he could start shorter in betting than the current $4.20

Leonardo Da Hinchi

Another for the Weir faithful who has won two on end and finds a very winnable race in town, devoid of any significant talent.

Did it tough early at his previous outing when racing at Sandown. Raced wide with no cover but still kept on coming in a huge performance to win.

Has the gate (2) and the talent to wipe the floor with this field. Yes.

Super Too

Punters have locked onto this on pace runner who always gives a great sight from out in front.

He will also benefit from a drop down in grade from recent efforts, where three runs back he took on Group 1 level in the Black Caviar Lightning at Flemington.

Needs to find the front from a wide gate (13) and have no pressure, however may well get conditions to suit and achieve that. Could pinch it.
