The heavy track rating should be a plus for this son of Snitzel, whose offspring has produced the most winners and best strike rate (15.7%) of any sire on wet tracks in Australia for more than a decade.
The gelding has three wins at the distance and we were on him last start, when he took a while to get a gap between runners before finishing off well for third place behind the Milk Man.
The start prior he closed off well for third behind the winner of four straight Red Chase, as well as Soxagon who won comfortably in this class his following run.
Expect experienced hoop Jim Byrne to take him back from the wide barrier here and unleash him down the outside of the long Sunny Coast straight, to get him back into winning form.

Belmont Race 8 Tip #6 Samizdat $3.60
Samizdat is a class gelding who resumes here after suffering a minor leg injury, which had restricted him since his last start fifth in the Group 1 Railway Stakes.
In that clash, he finished 1.5 lengths off Regal Power who went on the win the All Star mile.
From the astute Gangemi yard, Samizdat is a Listed and Group 3 winner with a clear class edge over his rivals here and he gets in only 1kg above the minimum.
Adding more confidence is his brilliant first-up record, which reads three wins from four attempts.
This will be an extremely fast run race, with noted speedsters Mervyn and Tranquilla Sunrise to show the way.
Expect Samizdat to get a soft run midfield and be fly late as the leaders start to take short steps.

Caulfield Race 7 Tip #2 Viridine $2.80
This James Cummings trained gelding returned to his best when blowing them away on a rain effected track last start carrying the big 61kg.
This 1100m Group 3 at Caulfield on Saturday looks the perfect race for this fella.
He drops in weight to 58.5kg, he loves the sting out of the ground and gets the master Damien Oliver to ride.
Drawn barrier 2, he maps perfectly to sit just off the speed. He will be blending into the race on the turn and should simply prove too strong for them late.
I think Viridine will be winning and winning well!

Moe Race 3 Tip #8 Takatoka $TBA
I think this gelding has the potential to be a decent stayer.
He found one better when resuming at Seymour, with the winner then heading to town and running well into fifth at Flemington last Saturday.
The third and fourth placed horses from his last start have since won their maidens, and Takatoka looked to have them covered comfortably.
He will no doubt strip fitter second-up and should be very competitive in a race that doesn't look any stronger than his last start.
