This three-year-old caught my eye in his trials prior to his first career start, after holding his own against some nice types including Toni Nicconi and Sesar.
I was expecting a big run on debut at Kensington and he didn’t disappoint.
Jumping well and sitting handy in the run, the gelding kicked in the straight and looked the winner for all money before being swallowed up.
Despite being collared on the line by a smart one, it was the work he did past the post which was most pleasing.
With the inside draw here, Christian Reith will be well positioned to push forward, lead and prove too strong in the straight for his rivals.

This gelding by Exceed and Excel caught my attention in his two trials leading into his first-up hit-out at Newcastle.
He started odds-on in that run and looked hard to beat, but somehow found himself three wide with no cover the entire trip.
Despite the nightmare run, the galloper still had the audacity to make a dive at the line late to narrowly miss.
Blake Shinn now takes the reigns and the gun hoop is one of the most in-form riders going around at the moment.
With a much smoother trip and fitness on his side, expect this runner to bounce back in style.
