The Vancouver colt was impressive on debut at this track and distance, when he finished behind the talented Tommy Gold.
In that hit-out, the Snowden trained galloper had to drift back from the wide barrier and come the widest on the turn. He hit the line well, clocking in the second fastest last 600m of the race in 34.16.
The difference proved to be the section from the 600m to the 200m, where Tommy Gold got going nice and early whilst Armatree took a bit longer to get into it.
James McDonald sticks and you'd expect the race day experience to hold him in good stead at his second-career run.
Expect him to relish the predicted pace and peel off them in the straight to surge clear.

Belmont Race 4 Tip #8 Miyagi $3.90
This two-year-old filly from the Darren McAuliffe yard looks extremely hard to beat, with a number of factors pointing to an improved performance here.
In her three career runs to date, she has shown herself to be tough in the latter stages of a race and the step up to 1400m for this assignment is suitable.
Two starts ago she worked wide on the course without cover, but showed tenacity and battled on to only go down by 3.5 lengths.
Last start she ran home stoutly from a rearward position and gave the very talented Charleton Eddie a scare on the line.
Today in a weak field, Miyagi has drawn soft and maps to get a super run just behind the speed. With clear running, I expect her to be finishing too strongly for her less experienced rivals.

Kensington Race 3 #5 More Prophets $2.80
This isn’t a race with a whole lot of depth and I’m against the favourite Indigenous.
I’m expecting this John Thompson trained three-year-old filly to start favourite come jump time and be mighty hard to hold out.
Her last two runs have had merit, having clocked the fastest last 600m sectionals in both clashes. Plenty of placings and a few winners have come out of both of those races.
Now deep into her prep and at a suitable trip, expect Hugh Bowman to land More Prophets a touch more forward and be too strong for them late.

Sandown Lakeside Race 8 Tip #9 Taberna $13.00 each-way
She made good ground when coming from near last to run second at Sandown Hillside last start.
The mare meets the winner Hapaira again here but gets a slightly better advantage at the weights from their last clash, which is a plus.
I expect her to get some cover back in the field, before letting down over the top to go one better this time.
