22/6/19 Horse racing tips from early market moves

Eagle Farm hosts the final Group One of the season on Saturday, however it's the non-feature races that have attracted the attention of professional punters this week.

Randwick also plays host to Winter racing, where punters have locked onto a number of mis-priced runners early in betting. 

Watch for a further market push close to jump at both venues for extreme confidence. 

 

Eagle Farm 

 

November Man 

Is currently the second emergency, however he's expected to gain a start. If not, you will find him at Randwick where he'll also be worth following.

He has been good all prep when in the placings at his past five starts, and does enjoy this 1000m trip (9:2-4-1).

The Anthony Cummings yard have struck a rich vein of form and certainly warrant close attention with this runner. Yes. 

 

Deadly Choices

Has a terrific overall strike rate (21:6-4-3) and the connections have found Blake Shinn to ride, which can add lengths.

He is considered a bush star, as are most of these who have made the city final for country-based horses. 

Shinn will look to find cover midfield in the moving line and from there, track into it nicely on entering the straight. 

Although it's very hard to line up the bush form, the push in betting is often the best guide in this class. 

 

Sweet Deal 

Another Dual Acceptor who is almost certain to get a run following recent scratchings.

She was excellent in the Dane Ripper here last start when only 1.4 lengths off winner Invincibella.

Drops in weight from that Group 2 performance and only has Class 6 horses to contend with here. This has sent the weights gurus into overdrive!

The rider can push forward from a wide ally (gate 13) to race close to speed, and from there her class should be telling. 

 

Vow And Declare 

Arrives for the in-form Danny O’Brien stable, who must be respected when they enter in anything. 

He ran in the QLD Derby here last start, when only just missing behind the smart Mr Quickie.

Has to take on the older horses now, however gets no weight (54kg) and does not strike a high quality field.

Trust Bossy, who is always highly motivated to impress.

 

Randwick    

 

Leviathan     

Won well here (Kensington) on debut and is our likely leader.

Travelling position is ultra important in 2yo racing and from out in front, he will receive every chance from Sam Clipperton.

No doubt the raging favourite Funstar will be hard to beat. At $1.65 however, she comes up at a poison price and the alternative runner here looks far more attractive.

Can roll the hot pot! 

 

Terminology

Featured in this column when backed off the map to win the Magic Millions Maiden (won with ease).

The first-up win this time in was good and with a 3kg drop in weight from that performance, there is no reason why she can’t win again.

The instructions will be to lead and control it, where from out in front they could dictate.

Gets plenty of ticks and is sure to be the big improver at this start. 

 

Dio D’oro

Enjoys Randwick (6:2-1-0) and will handle the soft to heavy conditions if they persist.

He has had two trials prior to a first-up 6 of 10 finish here last start, when he finished close enough.

I expect him to be another significant improver, now at the right stage of the preparation. 

The weight relief from Clenton’s 2kg claim should also be telling. Yes.
