Free racing tips from Michael Gannon

Warwick Farm Race 1 Tip #1 Sedgemoor $2.10

The son of Bernadini went down by the narrowest of margins when first-up and will be looking to make amends here.

Sitting outside the leader the entire run, he drove hard to the line only to miss out by the bob of a head.

Considering how he stormed home over the last 200m, the step-up to the 1400m here is a positive.

Drawn the widest in barrier six, expect James McDonald to take full advantage of the slow gate speed and cross straight to the rail to control the tempo.

With the soft run in front, he should prove far too classy for his rivals.

Warwick Farm Race 6 Tip #11 Accelerato $8.50

This former Victorian galloper impressed in a recent trial, defeating Group Two winner Alassio by 3.3 lengths.

He ran quick time in that run and looked to do it with ease. This suggests that trainer Joe Pride may well have found the key.

The booking of jockey Corey Brown is a good sign that the stable has him in order and ready to win.

Drawn barrier 11, expect Brown to ride positively from the gates and take a forward position in the run.

If he brings his trial form into this race, he'll prove difficult to run down.

Sale Race 3 Tip #2 Cafe Tortoni $7.00

I was with this Patty Payne galloper in his first career start after he caught my eye a few times early on.

The jump out at Kyneton was against some above average gallopers, including Bam's on Fire and Chouxter who have since gone on to notch up victories.

In that run, Cafe Tortoni appeared to travel well within himself, doing enough to suggest he possesses plenty of ability.

His third on debut at Benalla was full of merit, running behind two thoroughbreds destined for bigger things.

Further franking that form line, both the fourth and fifth placed runners from that race have since graduated from maiden grade.

Drawn well in barrier seven, look for Michael Dee to cross and lead in what appears to be a slowly run race. From there, he'll take a stack of beating.

Warwick Farm Race 4 Tip #6 High Shine $2.70

This former NZ mare showed a glimpse of her potential in a Randwick trial in March, when she ran on well through the line.

She then headed to Warwick Farm for her Australian debut and eased her way to victory, in an impressive display over 1300m.

She then backed that up with a dominant performance over the same distance at Scone, defeating Watchdog by just under a length.

The manner in which she won that race indicated that she'd have no problems stretching out further.

Now out to the 1600m here and with James McDonald staying aboard, she gets her chance to impress over the longer journey.

Put simply, she has far more upside than her rivals and should be winning.
