How did our resident tipsters fare?

The Queensland racing carnival kicked off in style last week, as the Adelaide campaign rolled on.

We take a look at how our resident tipsters performed around the country on Saturday, to see who had bragging rights in the office throughout the week.

Saturday Racing Lays of the Day

James Beeson's two Saturday lays were spot on.

It's easy to tip a favourite, but building up the courage to pot a horse at short odds is tough.

Beeson made it look very easy last Saturday however.

His first lay was the $1.85 Nature Strip in Doomben Race 8.

Nature Strip missed the start, was forced wide, and ended up spending all of his petrol early on.

He was game to even finish 4th after the horror run in transit.

It was The Bostonion who saluted at 50/1.

Beeson's second lay was also in Brisbane, where he touted Gem Song to get rolled in Race 7.

This favourite could only manage 3rd place, despite having every chance in the run.

Punter's will surely be looking at our next Lays of the Day article after Beeson's success.

Best Bets at Caulfield review

Michael Gannon's three best bets at Caulfield were off the mark on Saturday.

But with a bit of luck, the story could've been entirely different.

Caulfield Race 1: Horse racing tip no. 6 Transact

This Dundeel gelding was disappointing, given his classy pedigree.

Transact finished 6th, in an underwhelming performance.

Trainers Bott and Waterhouse will be needing to get more out of this horse in the future.

Caulfield Race 4: Horse racing tip no. 6 Kazio

Gannon cited Kazio's consistency, and it was another solid run from Kazio.

He finished 3rd, but at less than 2 lengths behind the winner, the result could easily been different.

Caulfield Race 5: Horse racing tip no. 8 My Biddy

My Biddy finished 4th, but also less than a length behind the winner.

A shade more luck, and My Biddy could've got the job done.

Free Saturday Horse Racing Tips Review

This article collects the best bets from some of our leading tipsters.

And one of these tipsters, Ben Beare, really flew the flag high for the team.

He narrowed in on two horses away from the major metropolitan meets, and this proved to be a good strategy.

Ben Beare's Racing Tips

Donald Race 1: 9. Shamal Lass

This U.S. bred horse was a dominant winner, bolting in by 3.5 lengths.

And at $2.10, you were getting better than even money.

Kembla Grange Race 2: 9. Outback Diva

Beare was on the money once again, with Outback Diva not just winning, but trouncing them.

She won by more than five lengths in the end, at the odds of $2.70.

Never in doubt.

Matt Buckland's Racing Tips

Scone Race 5: 14 Snow Valley

This Snitzel filly could only manage 4th place.

But with plenty of scope for improvement, she could be one to watch.

Caulfield Race 8: 8 Leonardo da Hinchi

Plenty were on this boom colt, however he also disappointed and finished 4th.

With racing sites all over the web offering complimentary selections, its hard for punters to know which free horse racing tips to follow. Our tip market includes all of Australia's top racing media tipsters with validated profit statistics showing against their free selections.
