Warwick Farm Race 2 Tip #3 Lanu Moana $2.80

This Ocean Park mare ran a solid third at Hawkesbury last start, in a race that has produced impressive form-lines.

Winner Entente went on to salute in the Group 3 Carbine Club Stakes at Randwick on Saturday, whilst runner-up Quintessa managed to finish third in the Group 3 Adrian Knox Stakes at the same meeting.

Lanu Moana jumped from the widest barrier in that last start hit-out and was restrained to the rear, before making her way through the field.

By the time she had balanced up and in clear air, the top two were off and gone.

As a result jockey Brenton Avdulla didn't ask the mare for a full effort in the concluding stages of the race, however she could have finished right on the leaders' heels.

It looked as though she had plenty left in the tank, despite the fact that she was charging through the line under her own steam.

Jumping from barrier 6 here with good speed drawn outside, expect Avdulla to trail the leaders across into a mid-field position with cover.

From there, look for this girl to peel off heels and charge over the top late.

Benalla Race 7 Tip #3 Mamelon $4.60

This Akeed Mofeed filly could not have been more impressive when winning on debut.

She was slowly away and found herself back amongst traffic, a situation she wouldn’t have been familiar with after leading in her jump-outs.

Once Jarrod Fry angled her into clear air, she moved up stylishly to the leaders and put a break on them to win with a bit in hand.

The form from the race has already been franked, with the second placed Bud winning at Ballarat on Monday by 2.25-lengths.

This isn't a big step up from maiden grade and she looks promising.
