With the highly anticipated Championships about to resume for another year, we've taken a look at which media expert tipsters you should be following in Sydney over the next fortnight.

To do this, we checked the horse racing leaderboard to see who has the best tipping stats at Randwick over the past 365 days. Not only does this list factor in all results at the track over the past year, but it also captures tipping performances from last season's Championships.

And what the leaderboard shows is fairly definitive.

By far and away the best tipster at Sydney's "headquarters" for cash profit is David Gately.

Gator has placed 225 tips at Randwick over the past year and if you had backed each and every one with a $100 bet, you'd be sitting pretty on $5,294 in cash profit.

Demonstrating the precision of his tipping, an incredible 33%, or one-third, of Gately's tips saluted and at a solid average price of $3.76.

This all translates into a 24% Profit on Turnover- an incredible number over such a long time period.

He clearly knows what he's doing at Randwick and in good news for punters, you can access his premium Saturday racing package for the Championships here. It includes his exclusive staking plan, best bets for the day, lays, parlays as well as his top 5 rated runners in each race.

The next best media expert in Sydney's East is Paul Kelly, and no, not the singer-songwriter.

Winning Post's Paul Kelly has put up some terrific stats at Randwick over the past year.

He's tipped 53 winners during this period, at an average price of $4.23.

This has generated 15% POT for the Winning Post analyst.

Another reason why you might want to follow Kelly's tips is that he's on a 3-meet tipping streak at Randwick.

In other words, he has found a profit the last three times he provided tips at headquarters.

Now that's an impressive record.

The third tipster that will stand you in good stead for the Championships - if his record is anything to go by - is Brad Davidson.

The SKY Racing tipster sits just behind Kelly with $3,020 in cash profit from $100 win bets over the past year.

But where Davidson fares better is his profit on turnover, showing 17% POT.

Even better, if you filter the leaderboard to "Actual Stake" Davo's cash profit jumps to $4,244 which indicates that it pays to follow his best bets at the track.

Davidson also boasts the highest average price of for his winners, with a juicy $4.42.

With wide fields and big prices expected across both Championship meets, Davidson won't be shy of searching for a roughie or two.

One of the best performers on Day 1 of The Championships in 2019 was Simon Dinopoulos. He had an absolute fill-up, after tipping 5 winners on the 10 race card.

Even more impressive was the fact that he steered punters into Gallic Chieftan paying $16.50, before nailing his best bet Brutal in the Group 1 Doncaster Mile paying $6.70.

It's no wonder he's in the top 5 media experts at Randwick over the past 365 days.

Rounding out the best media experts to follow for this year's Championships is none other than Glenn Munsie

After producing bang on 200 tips over the past year at Randwick, Munsie has generated $1,804 profit for his followers.

Bobbing was Munsie's standout selection on Day 2 of The Championships last year, after dashing home at $7.40 to salute as his best bet of the day.

He'll be hoping he can reproduce some more of that magic this weekend.
