Punters are faced with a small field of nine for the Group 2 Breeders Classic, in a rare Saturday meeting at Warwick Farm.

The field brings a variety of form-lines, with runners who have been competing in Group events across the country mixed with BM 88 class from Sydney.

Warwick Farm is currently rated a Good 4 with the rail in the true position.

There are a few showers predicted in Sydney on Friday but with warm weather on the cards for the weekend, the track is likely to remain in the Good range.

A dry Warwick Farm surface typically offers on-pace favours, with the best going just off the rail in the straight.

Punters have warmed to Champagne Cuddles who has firmed from $2.50 into $2.35.

There has also been some support for second favourite Egyptian Symbol, into $5.50 from $6.50 openers.

Horse Racing Key Runners

#1 Egg Tart $15

A Group One winner over staying trips and she's been competitive over the 1400m first-up.

However, the 1200m is too short for her and she won't be suited to the predicted slow tempo.

Not a genuine winning chance.

#2 Cool Passion $6

Last start Group 3 winner with an outstanding record over the 1200m.

She has only won one from seven first-up but showed she was forward in a recent trial.

Gets a nice trail behind the leaders and will be fighting out the finish.

#3 Egyptian Symbol $6.50 > $5.50

Won the Magic Millions Sprint first-up, in a race run to suit back-markers.

She doesn't go as well second-up and given she'll be well off them at the turn, she's a risk.

The slow pace is a negative. No!

#4 Champagne Cuddles $2.50 > $2.35

Has been competitive at Group One level and performs well over the 1200m.

She's drawn to get the run of the race, settling behind the nominated leader Alassio.

With only 1kg above the minimum, this mare is well in at the weights and looks a class above her rivals. Yes!

#5 White Moss $11

Hasn't won for 475 days and showed nothing in a recent trial to suggest that's going to change here.

Her first-up record isn't anything to write home about and she looks well under the odds. No!

#9 Alassio $5.50

This is a big step-up in class for the Waterhouse/Bott trained runner.

However, she'll get a soft lead which will allow her to be in the race for a long way.

She lacks the class of most of these runners, but should hold on for a placing given the significant speed map in her favour.
