20/10/20 Best horse racing tips today

We're off to the Northern Rivers region of NSW on Tuesday, for an eight race card at Grafton. 

The track is currently rated a Soft 5 and with fine weather forecast, it may creep into the Good range.

The rail is in the true position and at this set-up, the track will play fair and give all runners their chance. 

 

 

Grafton Race 7 Tip #6 Cocky Rocky $6.60

This son of Moshe was strong first-up behind two good country types in Another Sin and Imacrumpet. 

He lines up today on an eight day back-up and looking to improve on his 5:2-0-0 second-up record. 

The step up to 1100m for this clash is ideal and it should allow him to use his early toe to lead this field up. 

He's an ultra consistent type (25:4-8-2) who is a genuine galloper. This looks a winnable race for him today and if he gets an easy time of it on-pace, they'll do well to catch him. 

 

 

Grafton Race 8 Tip #9 Super Slick $9.00

This filly was unwanted in the market on debut, jumping a $51 outsider. 

She jumped from barrier 9 in that clash and under Kyle Wilson-Taylor, made every post a winner.

What made the win more impressive is that the margin to second was 1.88-lengths and to third was 3.21-lengths.

There is no doubt the horses she beat that day aren't much chop, even as country gallopers, but she was dominant and looks to have upside. 

The step up to 1100m here is perfect, as is the draw in barrier 9. In what looks a race that lacks early tempo, expect Wilson-Taylor to ride positively from the gate and string them along. 

She'll take a stack of improvement from her debut run and can easily go to a new level today. 

The $9 available looks over the odds and it wouldn't shock to see her well backed later in the day.
