Pro Punters active early

The professionals are out in force again this week, picking off the mispriced runners and providing us with an excellent lead to their chances.

We struck twice last week with a winner at both key venues, including Epsom Handicap winner Kolding at $5.00.

As always, watch for a further push in betting late to add extreme confidence.

Caulfield

Caulfield Tips

Waging War

This is the easier back-up option if they don’t gain entry into the Group 1 Toorak Handicap as an emergency.

Interestingly he has also been heavily backed in the Toorak and if he's expected to run well there, he should account for these in the lesser Listed race.

Has been running well all prep, despite drawing the car park in each of his past two.

Jumps from barrier 2 this time and the money screams yes!

Loving Gaby

Has a lethal last 200m and this race sets up well, with genuine speed expected.

She was excellent winning first-up at Moonee Valley when rounding them up from back in the field with ease.

Look for her to go bang again and come with a rush over the top. Yes.

Lyre

Should race closer to the leaders here from her good draw in gate 3 and that could be the difference.

The main dangers (Flit, Tenley and Missile Mantra) will all be well back, with rider Mark Zahra looking to be off and gone by the time they stoke up.

She has genuine speed map favours.

Alligator Blood

Was too tough on-speed last start when winning the Guineas Prelude.

Although he'll now launch from a wider draw in gate 13, he's good enough to overcome this challenge.

He may not lead but has the ability to sit outside the leaders and still win.

Should be very tough to the line again and in the finish.

Randwick

Randwick Tips

Master Of Wine

Has not missed a placing here at Randwick in his past three starts and had excuses when just missing last time.

The money for Tim Clark's rides has been lethal of late and if there was a further push, he should be winning.

Top chance.

Greyworm

Steps up to 1400m here, which he does enjoy (3:1-1-1).

He raced outside the leader last start at this track and was still there kicking at the end to place 3 of 10.

Looks very tough and tractable to my eye and is now ready for the more testing journey.

Amangiri

Will lead with ease and I can't see much pressure coming from anywhere else.

She can rack and stack them, before giving a good kick on topping the Randwick rise.

Looks the best bet of the day at Randwick.

Castelvecchio

I’m convinced he has another big Group 1 in him, with the barnstorming finish displayed here as a two-year-old to win the Champagne Stakes, he's just too hard to ignore.

He is now a year older and looking for extra ground, so the 2000m is perfect.

Looks a great chance to roll the hot favourite. Yes.
